Vision and Mission

Our school is a non-profit-making kindergarten sponsored by the Hong Kong Eastern District Women's Welfare Association, funded by the government and supervised by the Social Welfare Department. Our school promotes a pleasant, calming and enlightening learning environment with the aim that children can achieve a "whole person” development. As well as attain balanced development in their physique, social-emotional and cognitive skills.

Teaching Objectives

Help the child develop a healthy self-concept, good eating habits, self-discipline and independence.

Develop the child’s language and communication skills.

Develop the child’s potential and build their self-confidence.

Enhance the child’s cognitive skills and thinking ability.

Build a strong foundation for learning.

Help children lay a strong foundation for primary school education.

Eligibility for admission

Children must be from two to six years old.

Teachers

All teachers have received professional training in pre-school education and have extensive teaching experience. Our teachers are caring and patient. They are also encouraged to acquire further studies to improve their quality in teaching.

Curriculum

Our school follows the curriculum as our main teaching objective , focusing on a balanced and healthy development for the children. The main contents of the curriculum are:

  • diversified and integrated activities, with a “thematic teaching” approach.

  • Each “theme” is designed to suit the children's life experiences and their cultural backgrounds.

  • Our kindergarten curriculum is designed to be“child-centred ”. and the content of the course takes into account the development of children in all aspects.

  • All kinds of interesting objects, audio-visual teaching aids, visiting and games are encouraging children to learn through play.

  • Direct and sensory experiences that help children learn by using their five senses

  • Systematic observations and evaluations are held regularly to review the children’s development in all aspects

Parent participation

 

The participation of parents plays a very important role in our school. We believe that the "whole person” development of children depends on good cooperation between parents and the school. Parent participation includes: parent seminars, newsletters, parent workshops, family picnic, parent-child activities, child reading programs, etc.

The school fee for preschool (Class N)

The school fee for kindergarten (K1-K3) is $20 per month and the meal charge is $436.

Families who require financial assistance may apply for the “Kindergarten and Child Care Centre Fee Remission scheme" from the Social Welfare Department.

Meal Arrangements

There are four meals provided each day which include breakfast, fruits, lunch and afternoon tea. The meals are specially arranged to ensure children receive proper nutrition and to improve their overall health.

Integrated Programme in Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centre

A professional teacher is designated to assist six pre-school children with special needs. They provide training, care and counseling. (This service is provided by the Central Referral System of the Social Welfare Department).

Occasional Child Care Service

Our school provides “Occasional Child Care Service” in the case of temporary and urgent needs. for normal and healthy children aged 2 to 6 to allow parents and carers time off to handle private affairs or exceptional circumstances.Please inquire us for more details.

For all student withdrawals, please notify us (in written form) one month in advance. Thank you for your cooperation.
